Post 2: My best vacation

Hi! Today I will talk about my best vacation. This year, I went to Buenos Aires. More than a vacation, it was a new experience haha. I was 2 weeks in March. We planned this vacation with my best friend for a long time. We were afraid of traveling alone, buuuut all went well. The first day in Buenos Aires, we went to feria de San Telmo. I really liked it because they sold many artisan things. I bought many souvenirs and "alfajores" hahah. I also took a photo with Mafalda<3. Then we walk towards the "Obelisco" and ate pizza in a restaurant. The next days we took dance class and visit other places like "caminito", "tigre" and "Teatro San Martín". Why it has been the best so far? Because it was very fun. I ate, walked and danced a lot. It was my first vacation without my parents. I had dance classes with very outstanding teachers and I learned a lot.  Also Buenos Aires is beautiful and has many alfajores <3.

Post 1 : A country I would like to visit.

Hi! In my mind I have many countries that I would like visit. Without a doubt, the favorite on my list is Mexico, specifically Mexico City. In 2018 I traveled to the United States, I had a stopover in Mexico and I was there for a day. I feel that I knew him little and it is very beautiful country:(. There I would like to know and walk through the different tourist places. Eat tacos, know Chichén Itzá and visit Frida Kahlo´s house. Would you like to study/ work/ live there? Yes! I know many dancers who have gone to perfec there especially in contemporary dance. There are many dance schools and places to study. It is a city with a lot of art! There also many museums, theaters and art rooms. I feel that it is a good destination and I hope I can get there (hopefully soon hahah) Thanks for reading me!

Post 10 > Some reflections

Hi! This semester has been complicated in every way. The hardest thing has been to resist virtuality. Seeing people through the screen, having classes by Zoom has been difficult. There are days where I dont want to. I have missed my friends and my family a lot but I try to think that this will happen soon. The good thing about all this is that I have had a lot of time at time. My dog is very happy to see me every day hahaha. I have more time to take classes. I really wanted to learn to dance flamenco and now I was able to take classes! I also learned to cook many things. Cakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, brownie, pizza, pasta. Before I hated cooking but I now like. One of my achievements has been to be able to make a change in my diet. I no longer eat meat and in my home we stopped consuming sugar. My parents had been very sick last year and we needed to make a change.

Post 9> Your favorite book

Hi! I have a lot of books in my head that I've liked but before I will talk about other things. At this moment I do not have a favorite author. When I was school I did have, and  was Edgar Allan Poe. I had to read many books from him and I love them. On my tastes in reading, I like to read a little of everything. Mistery books, police, feminism, education and bioographies. Since I was little I liked to read and I try to read everything. My favorite book is "el segundo sexo"from Simone de Beauvoir. I met her in school philosophy classes a long time ago. I was very interested and this year I bought that book. I started reading it in March (I have a bit left to finish it because it is very long) and I really liked it. Poses feminism from different areas and visions. I recommend it! And well, the last book I am reading is this. I hope to finish it later! A bonus track: I also I liked IT from Stephen King. Its not my favorite book but when I read it, I got caught.

Post 8> A subject you've enjoyed studying this semester.

Hi! Actually, I had a hard time picking out a bouquet I liked. The classes during a pandemic have been difficult. But I think that I have a bouquet that I really liked this semester. That class is anatomy. Sadly, we only had four anatomy classes because it was so little in the way of content. The teacher was showing a Power Point and answer our questions. The final work was extensive but I liked it very much and it went very well. The contents of classes were to analyze movements, the central nervous system, muscle activation. I've always loved anatomy, ever since I was in school and we used to see body parts, but with university classes I loved it even more. Sometimes I find it hard to understand because it's so much content but I worry about studying hard so I can do well in the evaluations. I like to learn about the body, how it works, how it moves, the muscles, the bones.

Post 7> Your Bucket List

The last  bucket list I made was in January of this year. I read it and my dreams haven't changed much. The first wish written on the sheet was to be able to travel with my family outside of Chile. We have never had the opportunity to make a long trip together and I would love to make it come true. Another wish that I am looking forward to at the moment (I wrote it down now in the list) is to be able to see my friends. I miss them very much. I miss being able to talk, eat chips together and dance. Just before the pandemic I was able to fulfill one of my dreams, to be able to travel to Buenos Aires to take classes. I went with my best friend and we enjoyed ourselves very much. We have more trips planned that we would like to do together! Regarding dance, I want to learn flamenco. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I have not been able to take classes :( I think at this moment I don't have a difficult dream to fulfill (so far). I would like to be able to fulfill these wish...

Post 6 > Who is a person/expert on your field that you admire?

I think I admire many people but in March I met a wonderful teacher. She is Ana Garat. Is an argentine dancer graduated from the dance workshop of The San Martin Theater. Was a member of the contemporary ballet of The San Martin Theater. In 2000 she traveled to New York with a scholarship from the torch foundation to pursue further studies with the Trisha Brown Company. In 2001 she travels to London to be part of the Independent Dance Programme in Laban Centre London. In 2001, together with Pilar Beamonte, he created the Garatbeamonte company. Among his most outstanding creations in co-direction with Pilar Beamontes are "El Hombre que camina", "Diva", "Duo para ella sola", "Solo para Ana", "Bolero para tres cellos", "YoYanoKepo".  Currently dictates courses and seminars of contemporary dance, choreographic composition and eutony in different provinces.
